The State Theatre does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to the State Theatre, treatment of or employment in, its services, programs, or activities.
The main floor is accessible to patrons using wheelchairs. The theater does not have an elevator.

Upon request, accommodation will be provided to allow individuals with disabilities to participate in the State Theatre services, programs, and activities. The State Theatre has a designated coordinator to facilitate compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), as required by Section 35.107 of the U.S. Department of Justice regulations, and to coordinate compliance with Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
While the above laws mandate equal access to people with disabilities, the State Theatre makes it a priority to establish a work place and environment that embraces the spirit of the law ensuring an optimal experience for all.
Upon request, information will be made available in alternative formats such as Braille, large print, recorded audio format, computer disc, or via the State Theatre’s website.
The State Theatre understands the physical limitations of the theater itself. Along with its landlord, the New Brunswick Cultural Center (NBCC), The State Theatre is committed to addressing the facility's needs to eliminate physical barriers inside the venue through long term planning. This effort, combined with an ongoing array of services, has established the State Theatre as a venue to be enjoyed by all audiences.
