"Oh What A Night"
The State Theatre’s 25th Anniversary Gala was a record-breaker!
On Saturday, May 17, the State Theatre celebrated its 25th Anniversary Gala, which featured an incredible performance by New Jersey’s own Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons! Frankie Valli played to a sold out house of 1,794 guests – 550 of whom participated in the full Gala event. His performance featured such classics as “Walk Like A Man,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “December ’63 – Oh What A Night,” among others.
Our annual Gala is the largest fundraiser during our season, and raises money to support our acclaimed artistic and educational programs. This year, our Gala hit a new record raising over $765,000 – which makes it the highest grossing Gala in our 25 year history by more than $50,000!
This year, we recognized a special group of honorees who have supported the Theatre throughout our 25 year history: Johnson & Johnson (Silver Anniversary Honoree); Boraie Development LLC (Corporate Honoree); The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation and the J. Seward Johnson, Sr. 1963 Charitable Trust (Leadership in the Arts Honorees). These organizations have helped the Theatre grow and thrive to what it is today, and we are eternally grateful.
We send a big thank you to all of the individuals and organizations that supported the Gala by attending the event, donating to our Silent Auction (which included 90 packages / items), purchasing 50/50 tickets, etc.
And lastly, we send our sincere gratitude to the entire Gala Committee for their hard work and dedication to making this event a smashing success!
