Ethan Bortnick And His Musical Time Machine Ethan Bortnick's only 9 years old and he'll wow you with his musical adventures of everything from Beethoven to The Beatles! This child prodigy pianist and his full back up band make a State Theatre debut hot on the heals of the PBS Special, "Ethan Bortnick and his Musical Time Machine." Songs in concert will include Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” the Beatles’ “Let It Be,” Mozart’s “Ala Turka,” Little Richard’s “Good Golly Miss Molly,” and so much more. Bortnick, the youngest musician to ever star in a PBS show, taped a special half-hour segment to air exclusively on NJN this August 2010. Check your local listing and watch the show!

1. 9-year-old Ethan learned to play the piano at the early age of three by mimicking the music he would hear while listening to the popular Baby Einstein series.
2. This month, Ethan will achieve the honor of being the youngest musician with a PBS concert special when Ethan Bortnick and His Musical Time Machine airs nationally on the network. The special runs on NJN Aug. 7 at 8pm, Aug. 13 at 8 and 8:30pm, and Aug. 14 at 9:30am.
3. On February 1, 2010, Ethan joined music’s biggest names as the youngest member of the all-star “We Are The World 25” for Haiti line-up, which also included such superstars as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Kanye West, Tony Bennett, and Janet Jackson.
4. Ethan has a list of over 200 songs that he can play from memory.
5. Alongside Beyoncé, Smokey Robinson, and Gloria Gaynor, Ethan helped raise $12 million dollars for Miami’s Children’s Hospital in 2008.
