The State Theatre Regional Arts Center at New Brunswick exists to enrich the
lives of people from diverse backgrounds in New Jersey and to contribute to
a vital urban environment by:
- • Presenting the finest national and international performing artists
- • Providing arts education programs to inform and build future audiences
- • Providing a major performing arts venue in central New Jersey that encourages and enables
members of the community to have a life-long association with the performing arts
The State Theatre is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, a publicly supported charity.
Helpful Facts
Accessibility ServicesThe main floor is accessible to patrons using wheelchairs. Large print and taped programs are available for most performances. Infra-red listening devices are available for patrons who are hard of hearing. Deaf and hearing-impaired patrons may contact the State Theatre at (TT) 732-846-5927.
Smoking
The State Theatre is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is permitted directly outside of the building.
Admission
Lobby doors open one hour prior to the announced time of each performance. Theater doors open at least 15 minutes prior to curtain. Latecomers are seated at the discretion of the management. The State Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission or remove from the facility individuals that are disruptive to the performers or audience members.
